Ingredients
4large ripe avocados
1lime
1white onionfinely chopped
1cloveof garlicfinely minced
1jalapenoseeded and finely chopped (optional)
1tablespoonSalsa Roja or chopped tomato
1small bunch of cilantroleaves roughly chopped
1teaspoonsalt
Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Halve avocados, remove pith and scoop flesh into a bowl.
Immediately add juice of one lime.
Use a fork to mash avocados to desired consistency.
Stir onion, garlic, salsa roja, jalapeño (if using) and cilantro into the bowl.
Stir well to combine and add plenty of salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve immediately or read notes below on storing guacamole
Recipe Notes
Avocados LOVE to drink salt! If after adding the salt, your final result still seems bland and underseasoned, try adding a little more salt, tasting as you go!
