What can I say? Apparently I have some pretty loyal readers and fans out there, and apparently the word is out that Johan likes it hot!
I’ve been doing a few posts on chilies lately and with winter looming on the horizon, I’ve been planning to do more. Which is why I was exceedingly happy when this little guy was delivered to me a few days back.
Make no mistake. These are as blazingly hot as they are pretty.
Yes, that is a Bhut Jolikia aka Ghost chili, and look, he brought friends, a pound of them, to be exact!
More Ghost Chilies than you can shake a stick at!
And yes, those are homegrown by my good friend and loyal contributor and fan of this site, Sune, and there are promises being made of more to come! In other words, I’ve got some ghost chilies to spend! Experiments are under way this weekend, and trust me, I’ve got some pretty exciting (and hot) posts coming up!
So stay tuned over the next couple of weeks as I try to not only bring the heat, but also find new and exciting uses for one of the world’s hottest peppers… Starting tomorrow with a new hot sauce recipe and some friendly advice on cooking with these little bad boys.
